IBRO Alumni Symposium attracts 200 during SfN 2009

The three speakers each had received IBRO funding to attend Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) courses in 2007 or 2008. Following the short talks on their research, they joined IBRO alumni and volunteers for an evening of discussion and socializing.

FENS-IBRO NS Schools

A collaboration between IBRO and FENS.

Aimed at training students and young investigators throughout Europe, the FENS-IBRO European Neuroscience Schools Progamme organizes Neuroscience Schools that were previously sponsored by IBRO's European Regional Committees and the FENS Schools Committee.

New International Partnership Expands European Training Program
The FENS/IBRO European Neuroscience Schools Program has launched a new partnership with the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) to offer the first joint course for students and trainees from Europe and around the world. The course in Naples, Italy will be held in March 2010. Details.

IBRO Return Home Funding recipient Rodrigo Martins reports from Brazil
Last year, IBRO Return Home Funding recipient Rodrigo Martins returned to Brazil to work at Instituto de Biofisica Carlos Chagas Filho (IBCCF), after doing post-doctorate research abroad at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, USA. His field of research is cell cycle regulation in the developing central nervous system.

IBRO Return Home funding recipient Alberto Ramos shares challenges, successes

In 2006, Ramos started his lab at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, focusing on neuro-glial crosstalk in sleep apnea and brain ischemia, with help from IBRO's Return Home funding programme.
